A detective in my own dreams

I have always had vivid dreams in which i am aware that i am dreaming and i always have the same goal within the dream. I go up and ask people if they know they are in a dream, where am I, what is the purpose of this place and so on. I have had strange answers all creating different pieces to a puzzle whose whole picture has not been determined yet. It's as if i am between worlds in an empty space asking those figures floating by why this space's ultimate purpose entails. I am writing this post due to the fact that last night I had an extraordinary vivid dream and got me thinking that i should alert people of what i am discovering in my dreams. I am going to tell you about different conversations with these " dream people" i have had that i can remember. I must admit that i am terrible at writing these things down once i wake up so only those experiences that really stick out in my memory i will be reciting. Here it goes.

I was in a hospital hallway and saw a man on a hospital bed in the middle of the hallway. I know that i have spoken with him before so i approach him. I ask him where i am. He replies. " Well your in a dream. I know that you have figured that out by now." I respond that i do know that but I know this place is real to him, and this is a real place. So i ask again where am I? He responds, " Well ill give you a hint. Where we are right now is related to the sensation of being hungry."

I was in an apartment building and i walked into a random door. There i saw my mother sitting watching tv and she looked over and saw me and became overly enthusiastic. She came up to me and stated that she had been waiting for a visitor forever and that she had been stuck in this apartment. I then noted that she could leave anytime she wanted and the town was full of wonderful characters. She then got this horribly depressed look on her face and said, " Don't you get it? All there is, is me and this room. I cannot go outside. This is all that exists for me, well its partially my fault, but still all i have is my tv."

I was in my grade school gymnasium and was watching a basketball game. Then all of a sudden an older man approached me and said, " Matt! Your finally here! I have been waiting eons to meet you!. But i have to tell you, i notice that your behavior is very rude in your dreams. It offends us. Simply because you do not have to suffer legal ramifications here, doesn't mean that you should just do as you please because you cannot in real life."

The next night i was in a park and was approached by a man wearing a la type coat. He said that he had been waiting to meet me. I told him of the man the previous night and asked him if he had been waiting the same amount of time. He responded that no, indeed his situation was quite different from the man the previous night.

I was given a symbol for where i was in this particular dream. I have drawn it to the best of my memory.

I was in the same hospital hallway as before and i was talking to the same man on the same hospital bed before. I asked him the same question as i had before. He then stated the name of a book with a Russian title. He then stated a radio station frequency. I do not remember it now but i did then. So when i woke up i went out to my car to tune into the radio station. It was a Russian radio station that i was picking up.

Last night i had possibly the longest vivid dream i have ever had. I was wondering around goofing off with my dad. On the ride home i decided to ask, Do you know you are in a dream. He said of course and then said that he thought i didn't know that it was a dream. So i asked how he knew and he stated that it was because his house was different and thats what tipped him off to begin with. So i told him that we should investigate all of this and he disagreed simply putting it that we should have fun while we have the chance. So we did. Eventually we came to a lake and a set of stairs. I wanted to go to the set of stairs and he wanted to go to the lake. So we split ways and my dad told me to get in contact with him once i woke up as to discuss what had happened. I did but he did not remember his dream last night. Also apart of this dream last night i was talking to a fellow in the kitchen of my childhood home and i asked him the question of the purpose of dreams once again. He said that we don't have enough experience in life to deal with life as it is. So wherever we go in our dreams provides us subconsciouses experience that aide us in life.

Fluoride in our Water: Forced Domestic Tranquility

Fluoride was first used by the Nazi's. The Nazi's put it into the drinking water of German ghetto's and prison camps to lower the people's self will and make them more calm in the process of systematically executing them. Of course the United States could not possibly be using sodium fluoride to calm and control masses of people. It is good for our teeth, therefore putting it into the water seems like a well rounded idea. Well, I urge you to find one study that definitively concludes that sodium fluoride is good for your teeth. There isn't one.

So what is fluoride used for besides " providing better protection for your teeth?". Well in reality it is a poison. It is a waste by-product of nuclear industries. It is the primary ingredient in most cockroach and rat poisons, psychotropic medications such as Prozac, and nerve gas. Well isn't that comforting? In the 1950's the nuclear industries started to sell fluoride to the FDA to be put into our water with a mark up of nearly 20,000 percent.
The following letter was received by the Lee Foundation for Nutritional Research, Milwaukee Wisconsin, on 2 October 1954, from Mr. Charles Perkins, a chemist:

"I have your letter of September 29 asking for further documentation regarding a statement made in my book, The Truth About Water Fluoridation, to the effect that the idea of water fluoridation was brought to England from Russia by the Russian Communist Kreminoff. "In the 1930`s, Hitler and the German Nazi`s envisioned a world to be dominated and controlled by a Nazi philosophy of pan-Germanism. The German chemists worked out a very ingenious and far-reaching plan of mass-control which was submitted to and adopted by the German General Staff. This plan was to control the population in any given area through mass medication of drinking water supplies. By this method they could control the population in whole areas, reduce population by water medication that would produce sterility in women, and so on. In this scheme of mass-control, sodium fluoride occupied a prominent place. Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time reduce an individual`s power to resist domination, by slowly poisoning and narcotizing a certain area of the brain, thus making him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him. [A convenient light lobotomy] The real reason behind water fluoridation is not to benefit children`s teeth. If this were the real reason there are many ways in which it could be done that are much easier, cheaper, and far more effective. The real purpose behind water fluoridation is to reduce the resistance of the masses to domination and control and loss of liberty. When the Nazis under Hitler decided to go into Poland, both the German General Staff and the Russian General Staff exchanged scientific and military ideas, plans, and personnel, and the scheme of mass control through water medication was seized upon by the Russian Communists because it fitted ideally into their plan to communize the world. I was told of this entire scheme by a German chemist who was an official of the great IG Farben chemical industries and was also prominent in the Nazi movement at the time. I say this with all the earnestness and sincerity of a scientist who has spent nearly 20 years` research into the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology of fluorine--any person who drinks artificially fluorinated water for a period of one year or more will never again be the same person mentally or physically."

-CHARLES E. PERKINS, Chemist, 2 October 1954
I encourage all of you to investigate this for yourselves and get yourself a fluoride test kit. Here is where you can buy one.

Reality of What is Natural

As we attempt to deal with what is natural, we must discover the nature of reality itself. I will be posting several times as to form an idea of what reality truly is. However it will just come out as leaves flow down a stream to the observer who cannot predict what sequence of leaves will be coming next. All material objects can be defined by the parts that compose the whole. If something is to be defined as whole it is enherently dependent upon the parts in which make it appear whole. Is the person, place, or object truly an objective whole piece. No, naturally it is the arrangement of certain parts that make it appear whole. Even the purpose of the apparently whole state, is somewhat subjective. A table for instance can be used to put things on, sit on, firewood, decoration and so on. Lets say that you have switched physical reality with a termite, the table's purpose is now food. We can almost suppose that the person, place, or object can have an infinite number of purposes that are dependant upon the arrangement of certain causes, conditions, and physical realities. Also the parts that make up the object also depend upon even smaller parts, which is made up of smaller parts and so on which each have an infinite number of purposes dependent upon the arrangement of certain causes, conditions, and physcial realities. In fact, all things come into exsitent upon infinite causes, conditions, and physical realities. So nothing is independant of one another, therefore nothing contains an independent exsistence of itself. Your thoughts are dependent upon experiances which are dependant upon people, places, and objects which as we discussed previously have independant exsistence of themselves! So if everything is dependant upon everything else then what is reality dependant upon?

A Closer Look At the Cause of Depression Amoung Teens

Chronic Depression among teenagers is climbing at a record rate. It can be be seen by anyone. Studies suggest that more then ten percent of teens are depressed. Of course this number, in my opinion, is much higher as these studies do not nearly cover a broad enough scope to really give a realistic number. Mental illness if that of itself is on the rise at an alarming rate. Most people will admit to being on some sort of psychotropic medication. This gives me shivers when i think about it. What has given rise to this epidemic? How close are we to having our entire society medicated? Before i begin i have to disclose some information about myself as to reveal what bias, if any, i have in writing this. I have suffered from depression ever since i can remember. I have also suffered from insomnia since the age of ten. I have also been on countless medications, switching from one to another almost to no avail. I am at the center of this epidemic, so therefore, i might have a perspective a little different from those who are on the outside looking in. Bear with me as i try and explain the possible causes that may not have been explored as much as they should be.

THE CAUSES OF WIDESPREAD Depression

Advertising

We all watch television, listen to the radio, and surf the web. We are bombarded with advertisements the majority of our day and they have an impact on us that we are not even aware of. The key to advertising is to scare the consumer into buying their product. Think about it. If you do not get Claritin you will suffer from horrible allergies. If you do not buy this HD Tv, then you are out of date. All your friends have this brand new phone and you still have that old black and white screen piece of shit. If you do not buy this acne cream then your pimples will gross out those of the opposite sex. If you don't buy our deodorant you will smell like shit. Are you feeling depressed, then take this pill. Stomach aches, take this pill. Are you sometimes in a bad mood, or sometimes switch moods, have headaches then take this pill. The goal of advertising is to make you believe that you need and or want their product. What better way to do that then to lower your self esteem. It is hard to perceive that this is the method that they use, but believe me, it is. They have become experts at subliminally making you feel inferior unless you purchase what they have to sell. So now you are being bombarded by advertisements all day long that take very subtle shots at your self esteem. This will not change your perception of yourself right away, but week by week, month by month, it begins to have an effect. So now you have advertisements that say if you are feeling depressed they can give you a pill that will make that go away. The advertisements that take shots at you also offer you a solution that seems incredibly simple. Also the way that they advertise these medications make the symptoms so broad that they could apply to anyone. So now anyone who has been made depressed by advertisements can relate to an advertisement telling them that they are depressed and need medication. So you are constantly viewing advertisements. The advertisements are meant to lower your self image. Then you view advertisements that cover almost all human aliments linked to feeling lousy and tell you to ask your doctor about a pill. Just a thought.

Teenagers Being " In Touch"

Teens go to school where they socialize all day long. Then they go home and talk on their cell phones, text each other with their phones and chat online using AIM or some other instant messenger service. Not being in contact with someone else even for an hour can now be a scary thing. Years ago you socialized at school and when you got home the only way to be in contact with other kids your age was to actually go and hang out or call them on the house phone which couldn't be used as much as everyone in the family needed to use it. So now being alone with oneself seems odd and uncomfortable to some. My sister once got grounded from using the computer and phone for one week and i have never seen her so depressed. She actually cried about it. Now given that we are all on different schedules it is impossible for a teenage to be in contact all the time. So when they are not calling, texting, or instant messaging a friend they feel very lonely and get depressed. Then when someone they know gets online or they receive a text message all of a sudden they no longer feel lonely. This leads to up and down mood swings which can lead to depression. Also it no longer has to be necessary to actually be with your friends to seem like you are haning out with them as long you are all in contact. So at the same time as they are being more connected they are also being more isolated without even knowing it. Just a thought.

Psychiatrists

Now that it has become a very regular thing to see a psychiatrist, people are forgetting their doctors goal. To give you medication. I would find it rare for a docter to simply say well you could simply excersie more, change some behaviors and so on. Instead they will give you a medication and then the process begins. You take the medication and it doesn't work so you try differant ones and finally find the right one. However since it a chemical that changes your body's chemistry you are bound to have side affects. Therefore, heres another pill. Soon you become so dependant on these medications that you are afraid to go off of them, so therefore you are now apart of the epidemic. Also keep in mind that most psychiatrists are sponsored by the drug companies themselves. Just a thought.

The Pace of Our Lives

People are so busy these days there is absolutely no time for rest and relaxation. This leads to stress and feeling trapped in our schedules. We have no time for ourselves and no time for any recreational activities in which we can find peace. This also leads to depression when we become slaves to our obligations with no time to rest except for sleep. Just a thought.

The Change of the Music Culture

ce In days now long since past we rarely heard sad, angry, or sadistic songs. All music was positive and uplifting. We must admit that music plays a huge role in our lives, we all have our own song. Now that there depressing and angry music has become so prevalent, it acts as lighter fluid to someone who is already feeling kind of blue. You can admit to this. It is almost addicting to listen to depressing music while depressed only adding to the depression. Just a thought.

The Obesity Crisis

eClearly in this case one epidemic adds to the fire of another. Obviously being overweight leads to poor self image which leads to being depressed.

I have given clear examples of how our culture is the main cause of the rise of depression. Now family life, actually serotonin imbalances and such are still main causes as well. But if we continue to buy into certain aspects of our culture and do not step back and use some moderation we are all doomed to be medicated zombies. We should also look to solve our depression problems by modifying our behavior and lifestyle instead of being so quick to take a pill. Also we should look towards traditional talk therapy as a means of helping one's self instead of the pill.
