You do not need to be a psychic to figure out where we are heading. As we advance there is certainly more room for immoral practices and opportunity's to create disaster. I present you with just a few points of where we are heading. I do not mean to be a pessimist, but, we are heading towards a voluntary human extinction. There is little to no chance of change.

Prescription Drug Haze

More then forty percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug. Now of course we are advancing in medicine and more of the truly sick are able to take medication to cover their symptoms. However in the field of mental health, people are over prescribed medication. Feeling sad? Take a pill. Can't sleep, take a pill. The list goes on and on. However all prescription medications that target neurotransmitters in the brain have serious side affects and there is also no research done on the long term affects of most of these medications. Also i have no scientific evidence to back this up, but if you are manipulating the way your brain operates, you are no longer yourself. Narcotics are attempting to be reduced but it is a fruitless effort. More and more Americans are becoming addicted to their medication. I can speak from personal experience. As the world becomes more drugged up and become slaves to mind altering medicine, it will affect the evolution of our species. How? I do not know. I am going to research this further and pose a theory on my next post. However you can see the problems this trend will cause.

One World Government

The European Union is the beginning of the end. Other organization that are in place seem to continue a trend of an eventual one world government. These organizations include The International Criminal Court, The United Nations, Organization of American States, The African Union, and the Parliamentarians for Global Action. You may have heard about the talks to create the North American Union. This will most likely come to be due to the finical crisis and other problems that could be solved militarily and through trade by creating this union. These unions will eventually come together to form a loose one world government, but with each nation also retaining their sovereignty. However this union will give more power to the few and the many will loose their power in government. As nations follow more liberal ideologies, which is the trend, guns will be banned. I am a democrat however without giving your people the right to own guns then the people are powerless against the government if it were ever changed into a dictatorship. As these unions form the future will have less natural resources, less oil, less food, rising temperatures. As the Chinese have the rule that you can only have one child due to scarce resources, this type of law will spread very fast. As these laws spread within the union the people will rise against it but without weapons to defend themselves . There are many different paths that this could lead to. Remind yourselves i am only making a guess, not necessarily an educated one.
Biological Warfare

Pathogens are being re-created in laboratories with the power to kill millions of people. Terrorists might be able to get a hold of these pathogens and cause the world to instate new policies to quarantine the sick and prevent the spread of illness.
